Attention New & Past Artists: Please Read Carefully Before Submitting
Call for Erotic Art
Eligibility: this call is open to artists internationally, for recent (within the last 2 years) erotic artwork in any medium or subject matter, as long as it is erotic and legal
Originality: Submissions must be original designs and executed by the artist; collaborations are accepted
Age Requirement:Artists must be at least 18 years old
Photographers: Must have signed model releases for models aged 18+, available upon request
Previous Submissions: Artwork shown in past Dirty Show exhibitions will not be considered
Exhibition Dates:February 14-22, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan.
Attendance: is not required, however, accepted artists are admitted to the exhibition at no charge.
Submission Process & Guidelines:
Registration Fee: $20.00 for submission to the jury, does not guarantee acceptance
Submission Limit: a maximum of 3 pieces per artist are allowed. Multiple registrations not allowed
Format: Online submissions only
Deadline:December 1, 2024, by 11:59 PM.
Notification: Artists will be notified of accepted works via email on or after December 7, 2024
Performance Art: Submissions are reviewed individually, separate from the call for art forms. Email your proposal, including a contact phone number, to info@dirtyshow.org
Submission Image Guidelines
Image Format: JPG (jpeg) or PNG
Submission Image File Size: Maximum 10MB per image file
Image Quality: high-quality images that accurately represent your piece; poor quality may result in rejection
Multiple Views: For 3D work, you may edit multiple views into a single image
Framed Art: Submitting photos of art in frames is acceptable but not necessary
Submission Tips
Preparation: Collect all data and prepare images before submitting
Pricing: Remember to include costs for framing and shipping
Contact Info: Confirm that your contact information is correct and up-to-date. Be sure to enter your LEGAL name when prompted, not your professional/artist name, to avoid delivery or payment issues. Double check that your email address is correct in order to receive all future notifications
Submission Timing: Submit early to avoid last-minute complications or site traffic
Submission Method: For best results, register and submit from a desktop computer, using mobile devices may complicate site navigation
Jury Process
Selection: A panel from the Dirty Show organization will review all entries
Presentation: Accepted work must be complete and ready for exhibition
Exhibition Artwork Sales
Pricing: All art must be available for sale
Sold Artwork: the artist will receive 65% of the sale price, Kwality Art Sales (AKA: the Dirty Show) will retain 35% of all sales
Payment: Payment for sold work will be sent via check within 21 days after the close of the event
NFS Work: Must obtain pre-approval for any "Not For Sale" pieces, which is rare
Shipping & Delivery of Artwork
Responsibility: Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibition
Size: Ensure large works are suitable for shipping, if that is your preferred method of delivery
Hand-Delivered Art: Should be delivered in a box that properly fits the piece
Terms and Conditions
Agreement: Submitting a piece constitutes acceptance of all exhibition rules, terms, and conditions
Photo Usage: The exhibition may use a photo likeness of your artwork for marketing
Final Decision: The jury's decision is final
Liability: The Dirty Show, LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to artwork, including during shipping
Registration Process
Read Guidelines:Thoroughly read and understand all of the guidelines above
Register: Click the +Register button at the top right of the page, and have your credit card ready for the $20 registration fee (non-refundable)
Login: Use your registered email and password to log in to your account and submit your work
Submission Edits: You can edit your submissions until December 1st, 2024
